"Did Jesus Just Happen!:

In order to find out the answer, we must continue with Christ and where did he begin to exist. However if have been following comments, you will find the Christ is Eternal. He has always been and always will be. He is the Second Person of the Godhead.

In exploring the Pre-existence of Christ we must look at many who deny this fact. The Gnostics, the Arians, and the present Unitarians. There arose during the first century among the people who called themselves Christian, a philosophy known as Gnosticism. According to this philosophy the historic Jesus was not the divine pre-existent Christ, but at His baptism the Divine Christ came into the historic Jesus and then left Him before His Death, The Arians of the fourth century accepted the idea of a pre-existent Christ but not as divine. The modern Unitarians accept Jesus as a mere but outstandingly good man who had an unusual experience with God. Thinking of Him as a mere man, they leave no room for the pre-existence.

On the other hand, those who accept the Bible cannot deny that it teaches indisputable the eternal pre-existence of the Son of God, (Christ) Notwithstanding what others have said, we as Christians take our stand with those who accept the simple and unmistakable statement in the Prologue of John's Gospel, "In the beginning was the Word.

My thought foe next week, I will discuss the Form of Christ Pre-existence. I encourage you to follow along with me on these thoughts as it deals with the "Doctrine of Christ) Christology 101
